Expenses and Disbursements

Taxes

By Client

By Aspen Grove
We may terminate our services if:
- You fail to pay fees as agreed
- You fail to provide necessary information or cooperation
- A conflict of interest arises
- Continuation would violate professional ethics rules
- You engage in conduct that makes it unreasonable to continue
We will provide reasonable notice of termination except where immediate termination is required by professional obligations.
Effect of Termination
Following termination, your file will be closed, and you will receive a final account. We will retain your file in accordance with Law Society requirements. Confidentiality obligations survive termination.
Dispute Resolution

If you have concerns about our services or fees, please contact us promptly. We are committed to resolving issues through open discussion and will work with you in good faith to address concerns.
Fee Disputes

Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta.

General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms and Conditions, together with your engagement letter and our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Aspen Grove regarding website use and legal services. They supersede all prior communications and proposals.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these terms will not constitute a waiver of that right or provision. A waiver in one instance does not constitute a continuing waiver.
Assignment
You may not assign or transfer your rights under these terms without our written consent. We may assign these terms or delegate our obligations without restriction.
